GPC invests in community
19 April 2017
Since July 2016, Gladstone Ports Corporation’s (GPC) Community Investment Program has supported 32 initiatives and programs, such as the Gladstone’s Men’s Shed and the Bundaberg Region’s Surf Life Saving club, and we now welcome your community organisation’s application to the fund.
Applications are now open for Round 1 of GPC’s 2017/18 Community Investment Program.
This round supports initiatives requiring funding between August 2017 and January 2018.
GPC, CEO, Peter O’Sullivan said the Community Investment Program has provided funds to ensure that the communities in Bundaberg, Gladstone and Rockhampton are enriched through social, environmental and economic boosting initiatives.
“Through this program we have seen some grassroots organisations grow and develop, and to be a part of this process is an honour,” he said.
“Just recently we supported the Bundaberg Surf Lifesaving Club’s Seahorse Nippers Program. A pilot program aimed at encouraging people with disabilities to participate in surf lifesaving activities and recreation. This $10,000 investment ensured that the club was able to purchase all of the required equipment to make this program a success.”
GPC take pride in our partnerships and invests over $2.5 million annually into the Gladstone, Rockhampton and Bundaberg regions, funding community projects and providing and maintaining our community parklands.
Round 1 funding opportunities include Community Partnerships, over $10,000 and Community Support, up to $10,000.
