2017 Paint the Port Competition

The 2017 Paint the Port art competition is a part of our Arts in the Park event at year’s Gladstone Harbour Festival.

The competition provides amateur and professional artists from Gladstone, Rockhampton or Bundaberg with an opportunity to present their unique portrayal of port activities or infrastructure for a chance to win cash prizes. 

Paint the Port Exhibition

Artwork will be displayed at the Paint the Port Exhibition at CQUniversity Gladstone's Marina campus from Wednesday 12 April to Friday 21 April 2017, with the winning entries further displayed at the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum from Saturday 22 April until Saturday 6 May inclusive.

  • 2017 High School Category Winner: ‘Ocean Spirit’ by Aidan Hill
  • 2017 Upper Primary School Winner: ‘East Shores Parkland’ by Michael Marriott
  • 2017 Lower Primary School Winner: ‘Green Port Fun’ by Angus Long

All entries were submitted and judged in alignment with the ​2017 Paint the Port Competition Terms and Conditions.
