Apprenticeships and traineeships

GPC has been providing apprentice and traineeships for decades with more than 200 apprentices earning their trade at GPC in the past 10 years.

Our apprentices and trainees undertake a structured learning program, which includes a variety of training initiatives to enhance their skills and knowledge, improving both their futures and ours.

Work experience

We recognise the benefit work experience plays in assisting young people with beginning their careers. GPC provides a number of work experience opportunities including:

  • four and five day work experience blocks for local high school students
  • structured work placements for skilling program participants
  • vacation placements for university students.

Work experience online induction

Students accepted into our work experience program are required to complete our online Contractor Induction (via the below link) and attend a face-to-face induction.

Students are required to print the online Contractor Induction certificate (emailed upon completion) and bring to the face-to-face induction. There is no need to phone Security to arrange an appointment time.

Students will collect their ‘Work Experience ID Card’ from the appropriate Supervisor on their first day.
