World class project set to boost Bundaberg

A RARE opportunity to develop and operate a world class Reef Research, Innovation, Tourism and Education (RRITE) Facility is being offered by Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) at its Port of Bundaberg.
GPC is providing up to 6.5ha of strategic waterfront land, including 500m of water frontage on a long-term lease.
RRITE is expected to boost tourism and job growth through long-term economic, environmental and social opportunities for decades to come.
GPC CEO Craig Haymes said expressions of interest are now open.
“It is envisioned the world-class service hub for coastal and reef intervention, regeneration and restoration programs will provide quality ecotourism and education services – benefiting the community, region and State,” Mr Haymes said.
“We welcome EOIs from suitable proponents who are capable of funding, developing, operating and maintaining the facilities to harness the future growth of the region,” he said.
